Malcolm Gladwell calls it thin slicing

How do you make big decisions?

You will admit, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, are the most successful entrepreneurs on the planet today. They get big stuff done very fast. In fact, sometimes their quick actions and decision making seem almost haphazard…can you say “The Boring Company”?

But it isn’t random or careless. Not in the least.

In his book “Blink. The Power of Thinking Without Thinking”, Malcolm Gladwell broke this down for readers and used the term “thin slicing” to describe it.

What the best do is create a pre-determined set of criteria for making important decisions. They decide on the most critical things for their business, their lives and their passions, and build their internal “cheat sheet”. When faced with an opportunity, they quickly run down their checklist and if all or most of the boxes can be checked off, they act. They don’t question it, they don’t look back, they move forward.

Do you have your own criteria?

After thirty years of learning, reading and implementing, I developed my own list with secrets that I successfully implemented to build business and live my life. In fact, this criterion is so important to me, I call it my life philosophy. This past year, I wrote everything down and built a three volume book that gives you the knowledge you need to succeed.

My Grow Get Give philosophy guides my business and personal decisions. It gives me structure for making the big impact I want to make on this planet. I learned from the best and applied their wisdom. I’m now sharing the secrets that helped me enjoy success.
